So the reason I haven't made any new comic pages or any art of any sort lately is because my inspiration completely vanished all of the sudden a few weeks ago, or whenever it was. Anyway, I literally couldn't do anything art wise because I couldn't think of anything.... Well you can be very thankful to the band Thousand Foot Krutch for creating a wonderful live DVD and also the band Linkin Park for their amazing music and amazing lyrics because those bands just sparked my imaginative gears back to life in my brain. Somehow, it just all came back while I was jamming to my music!!! New comic pages, and prizes for those who won stuff coming soon!!!!! Thank you all for being so patient with me, art block is like the worst time in an artists life, and it has had me a little depressed lately because I couldn't do ANYTHING. But no one has complained about lack of comic pages which really helped so my mind wasn't stuck on my loss of inspiration but rather on new things to inspire me. If I didn't have so many amazing people that read this comic, those of you who make my day so many times by telling me positive things that cancel out all the doubt I have in myself, I probably would have never recovered from this art block, but thinking of you guys and your words kept me fighting to overcome it. Thank you guys soooooooooo very much for reading the comic, and an EXTRA SPECIAL thank you to the writing crew and all of you who have given me your opinion on the comic. You make my frustration as an artist completely and totally worthwhile. And to those of you with a dream no matter how small or big, just remember: with time, effort, and most importantly friends, anything is possible. Keep reading and please take a few seconds to write me on your thoughts on the comic or things you want to see in the comic! Once again, THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH for being awesome.
Comment and I will draw a picture of you being pulled out of the comic! (those who I have already drawn are not elligable).
THIS OPPORTUNITY WILL END AT 6PM THURSDAY NIGHT. I havent worked on the comic this week because I am preparing for a convention, but next week I shall get back to business. I have three more pages drawn, just not colored, so there should be new pages this upcoming week. :)
I made a fez. I wore the fez. It sparked awesomeness into my brain. The comic is going to look really awesome now that I have my trusty fez to spark my inspiration. :)
Well, the cover and first two pages of Chapter Five are up now! I personally like this chapter because we get some fight scene action, legitimately (you'll see), and some funny stuff too. And a new character will be joining the band's team at the end of the chapter, and he's got a familiar face to band kids. :) What do you think of the new style and whatnot? Please, let me know!
I have finished completely the first two pages of the new chapter. I have drawn the cover for it but I havent colored it yet. If someone answers these Jaguar Band Comic trivia questions correctly, I will finish it and get the new pages to you by Friday. Feel free to work together, but you have until 8pm thursday night to have them all answered before this opportunity vanishes. :) Here they are:
1) What is the true name of leader of the evil monsters? (Not his nickname) 2) What two animals can be found in random places in the comic saying funny but irrelevant phrases? What does each animal say? 3) In what chapter of the comic is one of the band members faces not colored in? (The member is talking to another in the band hall) 4) What Disney character is Mr. Burke thinking of in Chapter One? 5) Name at least two pages/instances in the comic where Katarina is falling. Anyone, including the writing crew (except myself), can help or participate in this! So GO! Whoever answers a question right can ask for a hint to any unanswered question. I replaced my black and skin color markers!!! I can work on the comic again!!! Cheer with me! YAY!!!
So my black is dead. Guess what! So is skin color!!! So unless everyone wants to be mexican, I'm gonna have to hold off on new comic pages until I can replace my markers... :/ well, at least it gives me more time to perfect the story I guess. :) OPTIMISM!
So I was writing new pages, and I started to color. My darn black marker died on me! And It's the most important one!!! I can't afford to replace it right now, so I resorted to using a daft Crayola marker. It's a different shade of black. Figures. I finished one page, but Im not going to color anymore until I have a new black Prismacolor marker. But I can draw the pages so I'm still making progress... There just won't be any released pages for a while till I can get a new marker... :/
